The Bendix King AV8OR has a built-in automotive navigation system that provides both 2D and 3D navigation views to get you where you need to go in the most efficient way possible. With more than 10 million Points of Interest (POI) in the U.S. and two million POI in Canada, you'll always be able to find the nearest shopping, restaurants, gas stations and more. And there's no need to keep downloading different regions; AV8OR's 4GB SD Card comes pre-loaded with both aviation and automotive databases for the entire U.S. or
Europe. If that's not enough, AV8OR's built-in speaker provides voice prompts to your destination, so you won't have to take your eyes off the road.
Pilot Focused and Reliable
A product you can trust, AV8OR's efficient touch screen and exceptional user interface were derived from the pilot friendly, panel mounted Bendix/King MFD systems. The AV8OR includes a 4GB SD Card containing aviation and automotive databases for either North America/Canada or Europe, with plenty of room to spare. Database updates as well as flight plan uploads are easily obtained by simply connecting to your PC. Flight plans created in programs such as Jeppview can be loaded into the AV8OR. Previously flown and logged flights can be uploaded to a computer and easily displayed in programs such as Google Earth.

When you’re not flying or driving, sit back, relax and listen to music, view pictures, read an electronic book or watch a movie with the Bendix King AV8OR's built-in media players. "One GPS for all my applications"

I´m pleased with the AV80R so far. The only improvement necessary is get rid of the supplied yoke mount, junk! Secures the GPS poorly, yoke clamp gets in the way of my cessna flight instruments and is way too over sized.
I purchased a RAM mount for $54, which works great.
Wake up Bendix/King, your customers are talking. Fix it.

EXCELLENT product! No need for HSI; XTX error shown in box on left side; just scroll down the first four boxes..besides, STAY ON THE MAGENTA Line and you´ll always be on course!

This unit holds promise, but until it has a real navigation screen (HSI), it will be a fancy plaything.
Incorporate HSI and the other GPS cats will be a faint memory in the marketplace.

Purchased at OSH this year. I love the land features. Easy to use touch screen which has large data input keyboard. The air mode is good too. Compared to my Lowrance 2000C the screen is much smaller. I like the mini-EFIS of the Lowrance as opposed to the side data of the AV8OR. I am waiting for my XM receiver to try the Weather feature. I am planning for this unit to compliment my 2000C in the cockpit.
